Event Details
The Town of Portugal Cove – St. Philip’s is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for programming. Support may be available for those who require assistance to participate.
We wish to advise guardians seeking inclusion services for their child at summer program, this year that we are pleased to be using the Brookside Intermediate location again, as it allows the program the most inclusive environment.
Please be advised that this year, we will only have respite workers as they are able to better support the needs of the children and there are a limited number of respite workers available during their summer camp. Respite workers provide personal bathroom needs to participants as well as providing all the same services as Inclusion workers, such as adapting programs to meet participant needs, encouraging participants and monitoring behaviours. Please note, all participants are required to be able to feed themselves.
- If your child requires such support, please register here on May 2nd.
Please note that you may not get all the weeks you request during registration if there are multiple requests for respite services.
Please register for the week(s) you are looking for. If spaces are full, add your child to the "waitlist" as who gets what weeks will be decided once registration is complete. Staff will then be in touch with you following registration to discuss.
The cost per week will be $150.00 (except for weeks with holiday's, they have a reduced cost of $120.00) and a total will be invoiced once weeks are confirmed.
- Should the spaces be filled, guardians are permitted to supply their own respite workers for inclusion service, not limited to: personal needs (bathroom, feeding, etc.), behavior, etc.
Event is 100% full
